Auction Time is Upon Us -- Thursday June 3rd, 2010
Auction time is upon us. We have a great assortment of items that will interest everyone. We’re hoping to make this our major fundraiser for the year. For that to happen, we need YOU!
The auction will be June 5th from 2:30pm to 5:00pm at Phoenix University located
on 7900 North Sam Houston Parkway West - Rooms 101-102. The university is off of
FM 249 and Beltway 8 campus.

It's Auction Time -- Sunday May 9th, 2010
Great news!! The auction has been finalized. We’re hoping this will be our biggest fundraiser for the year. For that to happen, WE NEED YOU! Please mark your calendar now!
The auction will be June 5th from 2:30pm to 5:00pm at Phoenix University located on 7900 North Sam Houston Parkway West - Rooms 101-102. The university is off of FM 249 and Beltway 8 campus.
How can you help? We need volunteers for setting up and taking down, cashiers, and concession stand volunteers. We also need donations for snack bar items and we need more auction items.
We have a meeting on May 22nd or 23rd so we can finalize the details and make assignments. If you can make the meeting, can volunteer to work the auction, can donate items, or can make donations ear marked for the auction please e-mail Michele Beauchamp at beau1009@yahoo.com.

New BBR Web Site Address -- Tuesday April 27th, 2010
Greetings!
Many of you knew our Web site went down last week. We finally found the problem and it has been corrected.
We now have a NEW Web site URL. Please take note of the new one: www.bbrtx.org
Our new e-mail address is: info@bbrtx.org.
Those are the only changes to BBR. The Web site looks and acts the same. The URL is the only thing that changed. We have the same wonderful dogs and the same outstanding service for rescuing bassets and getting them into safe, loving furever homes! Thank you all for what you do for BBR. December Fundraisers -- Tuesday November 25th, 2008
Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas will be working hard to raise funds for our hounds during the month of December. On Saturday, 12/6, and Sunday, 12/7, our volunteers will be at Petsmart (I-10 and Fry Rd. store) from 11am-4pm taking pictures of your 4-legged friends with Santa Claus. Be sure to bring your furry friends out that day to help support our rescue :) Also during the month of December, BBR of TX volunteers will be manning a gift wrapping table at 2 local Barnes and Noble stores. On 12/1 and 12/8, our volunteers will be at the Barnes and Noble Westheimer Crossing store (7626 Westheimer) from 5pm-9pm. On 12/6, we will be wrapping gifts from 4-9pm at the Pearland Barnes and Noble store (11200 Broadway). Please come out and do a little holiday shopping - you buy it, we'll wrap it! WE NEED FOSTER HOMES!! -- Monday June 9th, 2008
Currently 10 rescued basset hounds are sitting in boarding kennels due to lack of available foster homes. These hounds need the TLC that only a foster family can
give them - please don't leave them waiting all alone in a cage! Fosters provide our rescued hounds food, shelter, and love - we pay for the medical bills.

Two Rows Helps the Hounds -- Sunday May 11th, 2008
Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas has partnered with Two Rows Classic Grill (located in Rice Village) to save the hounds. For the month of April, any customer who dines at Two Rows on a Sunday and mentions "Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas" will help raise money to save our hounds. Two Rows will flag the bill and donate 10% of the total to Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas. If you or someone you know is planning to go out to eat there on Sundays, please be sure to mention Basset Buddies Rescue to your server! Two Rows is located on the Second Floor of the Shopping Center at 2400 University.
BBR Garage Sale -- Saturday May 10th, 2008
Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas will be holding a garage sale where all proceeds will go to help the hounds! If you have any items you would like to donate or have any questions regarding the garage sale please contact Vanessa at vanessadw@sbcglobal.net.
Spring Bark at the Park -- Saturday April 26th, 2008
Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas will be hosting a picnic for hounds and humans. Join us for some fellowship between hounds and hound lovers. The event will be held on Saturday, April 26 from 11-2 at Juergens Park (1331 Ulrich, Tomball). Bring your own picnic. Come rain or shine, we’ll be under the pavilion. There are no fenced in areas, so hounds must be kept on a leash, per park policy.
