Meg is a pint-size basset beauty with a mega personality. She is very sweet and eager to please. Meg came to us terrified and looked like she hadn’t had human contact in quite a while. She is still learning how to eat out of a bowl, drink water gracefully, and trust. She would do best in a very calm household with older children as she frightens easily with sudden movements and loud noises. She would also do best as an only dog because she gets very jealous of sharing her attention with other dogs now that she has been shown some love! Meg has very polite manners and can hold her business for up to 6 hours without incident. She does have in-and-out privileges right now, but the door is shut overnight and she does wonderfully if taken out immediately upon her foster human’s waking. Since Meg is so tiny (34 lbs), super quiet and not in the least bit destructive, she would make a wonderful pet in a house, townhome or apartment. She does have lots of energy for a 5.5 year old, so she would need to be walked or taken to the yard frequently. Her favorite safe place is the corner of our couch where she naps and waits for her next pets!
