Griffin is an absolutely angelic basset hound with a bit of a mischievous personality who is a pure joy to be around. Griffin is enthusiastic about everything and pretty much fearless. He loves going on long walks, meeting new people, playing in the backyard with the other dogs, stealing socks, cuddling in your lap, and taking a snooze at your feet.  He is extremely gentle with new people and young children. He is good with all different types of animals, including cats.

Griffin He is a HIGH ENERGY dog who needs an appropriate amount of attention, exercise and mental challenge by an experienced dog owner. He rides well in the car, but he's determined to be in your lap so he must be restrained properly with a crate, “determined” dog proof barrier, or seat belt tether. He is about 95% potty trained and only has accidents when kept inside for long periods of time with unlimited access to water. He is not food aggressive, but he will successfully steal the food of an extremely submissive dog or finish the food of a dog who has walked away from his/her bowl. When exercised daily and with lots of human or other dog engagement, he is well behaved and non destructive. If left on his own for too long, he gets bored and starts to get destructive with household items. He is not a fan of the vet or nail cuts, but the experience seemed very new to him so he will probably enjoy it more after a few more visits.
