If you're on the hunt for a long, goofy, friendly basset, then look no further than Wally! This young sweetie was found hanging around a steel plant and rescued by the plant's kindhearted manager, who immediately called Basset Buddies. Wally loves to cuddle, is well behaved, and can't wait for the day he has a furever family to call his own. Please apply to adopt him today!
FOSTER UPDATE (10/30/11): Although Wally is very loving and adaptable, he doesn't trust men/strangers at first. He warms up to women fast, but will take a little while for a man (this includes children who move too suddenly around him or try to grab his ears). Until you gain his trust, he doesn't want anyone to pet or touch his ears, or reach over the top of his head. Once you have gained his trust, though, he will let you rub his ears, head, belly -- jump up to greet you in the mornings or whenever you come home and you can tell he just wants someone to trust and in return love him and treat him well. He, in turn, is loyal to that person. He's crate trained and can use a doggie door.
