I just want to tell you how much we love Prim/Leesi and how much she means to us. This weekend, out of nowhere, I had an anxiety attack. The last one I had at this level was five or ten years ago. We tried everything to get it to go away: distractions, breathing, relaxation techniques. For an hour, nothing was working. I sat down, and Leesi jumped up beside me and laid next to me. I started petting her and within five minutes the anxiety attack was 100% gone. She helped me so much. She means the world to us. Keep doing what you do. You aren't just helping dogs, you're helping families.

I adopted Daisy (formerly Prissy) on March 4, 2011, and she has gone from shy and scared to sweet but sassy. I wasn't 100% sure about keeping her name as Prissy, so as my boyfriend and I were discussing alternatives, we said "Daisy" and she barked and wagged her tail. The name change was complete! About a year and a half ago I had her certified to be a visitation dog with Aggieland Pets With A Purpose. She absolutely loves her job of bringing joy, tail wags and shedding hair to her friends in local nursing homes.I couldn't have asked for a better hound to be my first dog.

Just though we would touch base with you and give you an update on our newest girl! Ms Piper LaRu (that's what we call her!) is doing awesome and we can't imagine not having her in our lives! She has been a treat and we are thankful she found her fur-ever home with us! She had a few issues in the beginning (like chewing up a few flip flops, watch bands, pens, eye glasses, but, no furniture!) that we have worked through. She is SO smart and has learned so quickly! She has just fit in so easily with the other "kids"....they all love each other! She is one happy girl!!
